The Discipline of Healing

Healing isn’t a destination—it’s a discipline. Born and raised in Orlando, my journey into clinical manual therapy wasn't a straight line; it was forged through decades in high-performance environments, the relentless grind of the service industry, and a personal commitment to the path of recovery.

The Foundations of the Work

Long before I picked up a massage table, I was a student of movement and pressure.

  • The Gridiron (Ages 7–18): As a Varsity Co-Captain, I learned the physical cost of high-impact sports and the discipline required to maintain a body under fire.

  • The Creative Trenches: While working toward a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Florida, I spent a decade writing, recording, and performing music. I paired that creative output with 17 years in the hospitality industry.

  • Survival Mode: I know what it’s like to perform on a stage and what it’s like to perform on a double shift. I understand how the body compensates for stress and the "survival mode" that follows when the nervous system is pushed to its limit.

The Methodology: An Investigative Clinical Framework

My practice is a synthesis of formal academic training and an investigative study of human movement. I utilize a three-stage framework to identify and resolve musculoskeletal bottlenecks:

  1. Observe (Neurological Stabilization): Utilizing Buteyko Breathing and my background as a Community Crisis Stabilization Specialist, I help your body exit "fight or flight." We prioritize regulating the nervous system first, signaling safety to the brain to allow for deeper structural work.

  2. Calibrate (Structural Restoration): Drawing on Orthopedic Manual Therapy and two years of training under Rolfing practitioners, I address the "architecture" of your pain. By analyzing myofascial meridians and kinetic chains, I find the source of the strain—whether it’s a decade-old football injury or the modern "tech-neck" of a desk-based career.

  3. Sustain (Functional Strengthening): Recovery requires both resolution and reinforcement. As a Certified Personal Trainer (BI-CPT) through the Brookbush Institute, I provide evidence-based corrective exercises to ensure your body can handle the demands of your real-world performance.

The "Quality First" Philosophy

My practice is rooted in the transparency I sought during my own healing journey. I operate on a Quality First model: One flat rate. Every tool included. No upcharges for specific modalities or "add-ons." You are paying for a clinical partnership and the full breadth of my investigative expertise.
